faith CHAT: What is religion for?
Join us Tuesday Feb. 1st at 10am over Zoom as faith CHAT continues to explore the question: What is religion for? by exploring “Life BEYOND Death?”
We will continue our CHATs “What Is Religion For” by picking up from last weeks CHAT which exposed some of our grief around where our CHATs lead us with regard to thoughts of “Life BEYOND Death”. As Bishop Spong’s name came up, I have attached a pdf file containing a chapter from his book “Eternal Life: A New Vision: BEYOND RELIGION, BEYOND, THEISM, BEYOND HEAVEN AND HELL” Jack’s chapter will set us up for a lively CHAT.

faith CHAT: Religion 101 – What Is Religion For?
faith CHAT Resumes Jan. 18, at 10am over Zoom
Zooming out from our own particular context so that we might see beyond our own narrow world-view. Taking a wider view is challenging, even as it inspires. We will begin our look at religion’s role in the lives of humans with Barbara Brown Taylor’s gentle, grace-filled, invitation to “Holy Envy.” From there we will move where-ever our CHAT together may lead us. Watch the Video and then join the CHAT. Our fist CHAT on January 18th 10am to 11:15am – to allow a few moments to briefly introduce ourselves to fellow CHATTERS – then we will meet Tuesdays at 10am – to 11am. The Zoom link is below.
